Louis Zamperini was a famous Olympian that served in World War II as a bombardier on a B-24 Liberator. When his plan crashed he found himself a POW. He was constantly abused by his captors. After the war, while he came home to a hero's welcome, he couldn't leave behind the pain of his past and it nearly ruined his life.
